Matthew Bellamy

Matt Bellamy is a director for the Resource Development and Communications team for Enterprise Community Partners. He leads fundraising and philanthropic efforts in support of Enterprise’s programmatic work in the Central Midwest market, focusing on Detroit and Chicago.

Prior to Enterprise, Matt worked as the senior foundations and grants specialist at Starfish Family Services, a metro-Detroit nonprofit devoted to providing quality early childhood education and community mental health services to the children of Southeast Michigan. He has also served in a development capacity with a local community organization devoted to increasing housing stability for foster youth, and an international nonprofit combatting childhood malnutrition in Haiti.
 
Before beginning his professional work in development, Matt completed a PhD in English language and literature at the University of Michigan and was a lecturer there in the departments of English and American culture. He is originally from Tennessee and received his bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
