Andrew Garvey

Andrew is an experienced builder, leader and risk manager of investment management and financial services operations. He has a robust reputation as an accountable decision maker with strategic vision and hands-on implementation skills to meet financial targets.

Andrew was most recently a senior managing director of ORIX Corporation USA’s Real Estate, Municipal and Infrastructure Capital Business Group and head of ORIX USA’s Municipal and Infrastructure Investment Group. He also served as president, chief executive officer and a board member of ORIX Commercial Mortgage Servicing Holdings, LLC. Andrew led and managed all of the municipal and infrastructure investment activities for ORIX USA. He also had overall responsibility for Boston Financial Investment Management, Lancaster Pollard and RED Capital Group, LLC. Additionally, he was a member of the ORIX USA Executive Committee and sat on the firm’s Investment Committee.

A 30-year veteran of the finance industry, Andrew has had a diverse investment management, capital markets and investment banking career in municipal, public sector, infrastructure, real estate, higher education, not-for-profit and health care sectors. Prior to joining ORIX, Andrew worked at Morgan Stanley, where he headed the Municipal Securities Division and was responsible for sales, trading, proprietary trading, derivatives, financial products, short-term and long-term syndicate and public finance. Before that, he helped build the Municipal Financial Products Group at Lehman Brothers.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and an MBA from Harvard University.
